ATLANTA – The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) now has a dedicated section in Healthy Indoors Magazine that brings insights and news from the organization and its members to consumers and a broader audience of indoor environment specialists.   The magazine also has become a membership benefit of the association.

Published by IAQnet, Healthy Indoors Magazine is a monthly online digital magazine dedicated to improving the indoor environments. It is read by suppliers of indoor environmental services, building maintenance professionals and consumers interested in protecting the health of their families and the value of their homes.

“IAQA is dedicated to bringing practitioners together to prevent and solve indoor environmental problems for the benefit of the public, making our partnership with Healthy Indoors a natural fit,” said Kent Rawhouser, the association’s president. “IAQA members now gain exposure to the users of their services, and consumers gain guidance from the best in the field.” IAQA was established in 1995 and is the nation’s largest indoor air quality trade association with over 2,000 members.

Healthy Indoors and the IAQnet website are information hubs aimed at empowering consumers to make informed decisions and putting them in contact with industry professionals to improve indoor environments. According to Bob Krell, the magazine’s publisher, the readership of Healthy Indoors will now top 5,000 with the addition of IAQA members.

“We are pleased to partner with IAQA because included within the association’s membership are the most knowledgeable and well respected practitioners and firms in the field,” Krell said. “What IAQA brings to Healthy Indoors is insightful comment and analysis of research that can be put to immediate benefit.”

Contractors, consultants, facility maintenance professionals, industry vendors, school officials, and representatives from state and federal government agencies participate in IAQA to share knowledge, develop industry standards, and shape regulation.

“IAQA is pleased to enter this partnership with Healthy Indoors and its sister website IAQnet, as it allows us to reach our target audience to provide information about our programs and services,” Rawhouser said.

Called The IAQA View, the section will include features explaining in easy to understand terms the science of indoor air quality, give tips for its improvement, and provide information on regulatory changes , emerging environmental issues and news of upcoming IAQA events. That content will complement the Healthy Indoors content, which presents feature articles advising homeowners and business owners on how to improve indoor environments for health and comfort.

Part of the partnership will be the creation of an IAQA members only portal on the IAQA website.
