Two-MinuteDrill This Month ON CONSUMERS "DOING THEIR HOMEWORK" FOR IAQ ISSUES TWO MINUTE DRILL Each month, we include a fastpaced interview with experts from the indoor environmental industry, where we hit them with two minutes of rapid fire questions. Get ready for some Two Minute Drill... This month we get the views of four different people from the industry: Donald Weeks, Carl Grimes, Allison Bailes III, and Claire Barnett, on the topic of consumers needing to "Do Their Homework" with regards 08 September/October 2013 to indoor air quality issues-an expression that just seems to keep cropping up lately in discussions about dealing with our indoor environments. Sounds simple, but is it really? Should the general public be tasked with researching and understanding potentially complex situations on their own when it comes to dealing with an indoor environmental problem? If so, how do they begin to unravel the myriad of postings on the internet to decipher the "good information" from the sales hype and misinformation? Both residential and commercial consumers are at somewhat of a disadvantage when trying to separate the good from the bad. Aside from the potential occupant exposure consequences for many indoor environmental issues, there are a host of liability, financial and emotional considerations that are often associated, as well. We clearly don't expect to answer all these questions in a couple of minutes, but our industry experts hit on a several key points during this month's video segment of Two-Minute Drill.
