Her work includes developing long-term mecha- nisms to support research relationships between community groups and scientists, responding to community requests for assistance from university scientists, and making science relevant to communi- ties and decision makers dealing with environmental health hazards. Her research interests include de- veloping new analytic methods to study environmen- tal health and cumulative burden, and incorporating qualitative social science methods into traditionally quantitative environmental health sciences. Mad- eleine serves on the Board of Health in the City of Chelsea, is a member of the board of directors of the Science & Environmental Health Network, and the Voices editor of New Solutions: Journal of Oc- cupational and Environmental Health Policy TOLLE GRAHAM is the Labor and Environment Coordinator at MassCOSH, the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health. MassCOSH works in partnership with labor unions, workers and community groups to foster safe, secure jobs and healthy communities in Massachu- setts and is affiliated with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health. Ms. Graham has led numerous healthy schools initiatives to improve school environmental conditions for students and school staff in the Boston schools and across the State. She is also the co-chair of the Communica- tions Committee with the National Coalitions for Healthier Schools.
