WK2LIVE3: The Home Front: The Role of Residential Retrofits in Addressing Climate Change

What does a changing climate mean for the future of home performance? This two-part session will feature an interactive dialogue about the role Home Performance can play in addressing climate change, and ways residential energy efficiency can help make homes more resilient. Through a facilitated dialogue, panelists will explore the following topics: 1) The role residential energy efficiency retrofits can play in meeting state and local climate and sustainability goals; 2) the impacts of climate on homes including measures to improve resilience and efficiency; 3) measuring and quantifying carbon emissions reductions from residential retrofits and optimizing program design for GHG savings; and 4) workforce development opportunities and needs, including strategies for growing the home performance workforce.
